• Added JPG output. The converter could only produce PNG, while this site's own advice said JPG is usually the right choice for a photograph. That was a real contradiction and it is now fixed — there is a PNG/JPG switch on the converter, and changing it re-converts anything already in the list so the label always matches the file.
• Published a guide to printing HEIC photos.Researched against each photo lab's own help documentation rather than repeating what other sites say. It changed our answer: Walgreens, CVS and Shutterfly now all list HEIC as accepted, so the common advice that labs reject it is out of date.
• Measured the quality cost of JPG instead of guessing at it. Converting at quality 95 moved the average color channel by about 2 levels out of 255 on our test image. The number is published on the printing guide along with what it was measured on.
• Corrected the spelling throughout. The site was written in a mix of British and American English. It is now consistently American.

• Launched. HEIC and HEIF to PNG, converted entirely in the browser.
• Batch conversion with no file limit, folder input with the directory structure preserved inside the ZIP, and a per-file size comparison so the jump from HEIC to PNG is visible rather than a surprise at the download.
• Safari and iOS get a native decode path, so those visitors never download the decoder at all.
• A stuck decode is now timed out and the worker replaced. A malformed HEIC can deadlock the decoding library outright, which would otherwise hang the whole queue behind it.
• Published the Windows 11 guide.

What is planned

WebP output, an option to strip location data on conversion, and resizing during conversion. No dates promised — this page records what has shipped, not what is hoped for.
