Reporting a file that will not convert

This is the most useful thing you can send. Please include what device and app produced the file, what your browser reported, and the reason shown next to the declined file. Please donot attach the photograph itself unless you are comfortable sharing it — it is usually not needed, and the whole point of this site is that we never see your images.

Corrections

If something written here about HEIC, colour spaces, codec licensing or file sizes is wrong, say so and it will be corrected.

What this address is not for

We cannot recover a file for you. Converted images exist only in your own browser and are never sent to us, so once a tab is closed there is nothing on our side to retrieve.
